The Woodburn Fire Department, established in 1962, serves southern Warren County, Ky. About 20 volunteers responding from two stations provide fire, rescue and first responder services, averaging more than 500 calls a year.
Our coverage area is approximately 50 sq. mi. and with a population well over 11,000. WFD covers everything from subdivisions to farmland to commercial properties. WFD has a ISO rating of a class 5.
WFD is funded primarily through dues paid by district members, support from Warren Fiscal Court and through an annual ice cream supper in August and a pancake breakfast in the spring.
